New Brunswickers can now apply to get a rebate on some of their summer vacation travel expenses.
Applications for the Explore NB Travel Incentive program will open at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
The program is open to anyone who took a vacation which included a paid overnight stay in the province between July 15 and Sept. 30.
Residents can apply for a 20 per cent rebate on eligible expenses up to $1,000. Eligible expenses include accommodations, food and drink, activities and travel.
Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on Oct. 30.
During the election campaign, Premier Blaine Higgs pledged to extend the tourism rebate through March. No further details have been released.
