A Nova Scotia law firm is gathering evidence for two proposed class-action lawsuits related to April’s mass shooting.
Patterson Law says it has retained criminal investigation firm Martin and Associates Investigations to provide expertise on police command procedure, crime scene analysis, and police investigation procedures.
The first proposed class-action names the estate of the deceased gunman who killed 22 people during the 13-hour rampage on April 18 and 19.
The second suit against the RCMP and the Nova Scotia government is related to the police response to the incident.
Patterson Law has also launched a Facebook tip page as it looks to gather photos, video footage, documentation and information from the public related to the shooting.
