Fredericton police say an 11-year-old girl reported missing has been located and is safe.
Police launched a search Monday morning for the girl, who is a non-verbal autistic.
She had last been seen at her resident on Hanwell Road, located on the city’s south side.
Spokesperson Alycia Bartlett said the girl was located by police and Ground Search and Rescue, with help from a citizen who saw her.
“She will be checked out, but all in all, safe and sound,” said Bartlett in an email.
