Another COVID-19 update will be held this afternoon in New Brunswick.
The Chief Medical Officer of Health, Education Minister Dominic Cardy and Premier Blaine Higgs are all scheduled to speak.
During yesterday’s update, Dr. Jennifer Russell said in the coming days, we will likely see more cases, “If everything goes well, those cases will be the people that we have already identified as close contacts and they are already self-isolating at home. Therefore, they can’t transmit to any other people.”
New Brunswick currently has 76 confirmed cases. Zones 1 and 5 remain at the orange level.
Dr. Russell says, “We have a lot of work ahead of us and we still have to work together to be vigilant. As each case pops up, we will continue to do contact tracing. We will continue to contact those close contacts and make sure that they are able to self-isolate properly, with as much support as we can provide.”
Today’s update is scheduled to begin at around 2:30pm. It will be livestreamed on the GNB You Tube Channel.
