A tricky commute Wednesday morning with no working traffic lights at the intersection of Rothesay Avenue and McAllister Drive.
Emergency personnel responded to a collision in east Saint John around 4 a.m. that knocked out the traffic lights when a transport truck struck a metal pole in the median.
No one was injured but the lights were not functioning for several hours.
Some of the lights were restored over the lunch hour.
Motorists should use caution when approaching the intersection of McAllister Drive and Rothesay Avenue.
Update on traffic lights at McAllister Drive/Roth. Ave. -Rothesay Avenue West bound Secondary light is not in place, pedestrian lights are not operational and Long and McQuade lights are not operational. Crews are on scene to repair. Go slow through the area please.
