About $731,000 worth of drugs and contraband have been seized at a maximum-security federal prison in New Brunswick.
The Correctional Service of Canada says the items were seized on the perimeter of Atlantic Institution in Renous on Oct. 5.
The contraband and unauthorized items seized include:
- 436 grams of “shatter” (marijuana/cannabis concentrate)
- Seven grams of crystal methamphetamine
- 67 grams of hashish
- 114 Dilaudid pills
- 54 grams of MDMA
- 30 grams of cocaine
- 18 mg of Hydromorph Contin
- 94 “ICE” (methamphetamine) pills
- Five grams of “magic mushrooms” (Psilocybin)
- One iPhone
- Seven SIM cards
Police have been notified and the institution is continuing its investigation.
Atlantic Institution was placed on lockdown to allow staff to conduct a search but normal operations have since resumed.
