Twenty dramatic minutes in uptown Saint John late Thursday afternoon.
Saint John firefighters responded to a possible structure fire at 82 King Street just before 6 p.m.
Platoon Chief Barry Oickle says it was a fire involving a propane tank on a rooftop patio.
“On arrival, we sent a crew into to investigate while we were setting up our ladder tower. It was reported that the cylinder line to the barbeque had burned through and the propane shutoff actually shut itself off,” Oickle said.
The fire didn’t extend and only the barbeque was damaged.
Two hours later, the fire department was back at the same location dealing with an alarm issue.
