The Major Crime Unit of the Saint John Police Force are looking into a stabbing on Waterloo Street.
Officers were called to the area just after 6 p.m. on Monday after reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers helped out the man until paramedics arrived and transported him to the Saint John Regional hospital.
The injured man was treated in hospital and released.
