As vote counting continues in some American states, Democrat Joe Biden is appealing for calm as the decision for who wins the US Presidential election nears.
In addressing the nation Friday night, he pointed out while there may be difference of opinion, there are no enemies, regardless of who anyone voted for. “The vast majority, 150,000,000 Americans voted. They want to get the vitriol out of our politics. We’re certainly not going to agree on a lot of issues, but at least we can agree to be civil with one another.”
He’s also continuing his optimism for victory, saying he and his running mate have been meeting with certain officials in anticipation of winning.
“Yesterday, Senator Harris and I held meetings with groups of experts on public health, and the economic crisis this country is facing. The pandemic, as you also know, is getting more worrisome all across the country,” said the Vice President.
