As COVID-19 cases surge across the country at a record pace a caution from the prime minister.
Justin Trudeau pointed to the sobering news from his Chief Public Health Officer Theresa Tam.
“The fact that Dr. Tam is highlighting that modeling predicts 10,000 cases a day across the country by early December if we do not bend the curve should be a wake-up call for everyone,” notes the prime minister.
Trudeau confesses here is only so much his government can do to help control the spread if the numbers go so high.
“That’s why we all have to make sure we do not get to the kinds of spikes that are being projected that with the approach of winter we realize we’ve got to get this back under control and everyone needs to do their part.”
The country reported 2,700 coronavirus cases Friday and a record-setting 4,981 cases Thursday.
