Moving back to the orange level of recovery in the Saint John health region means strict visitor restrictions at area hospitals.
No visitors are allowed at Horizon Health Network facilities from St. Stephen to Sussex, with a few exceptions.
One designated visitor is permitted for patients in critical care, obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatal, and palliative care.
Two designated visitors may be permitted for palliative patients receiving end-of-life care, but they cannot visit at the same time.
One support person is allowed in emergency and outpatient departments, but only for those patients requiring assistance.
One person is also allowed to pick up patients being discharged from the hospital.
Masks are mandatory for all visitors and support persons and they must wash their hands when entering and leaving the facility.
Patients with non-urgent health care needs are urged to seek alternate options rather than going to their nearest emergency department or urgent care centre.
Horizon facilities include: the #SaintJohn Regional Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, Charlotte County Hospital, Grand Manan Hospital and the #Sussex Health Centre. Some exceptions are in place. More info can be found: https://t.co/OXiibohtJR
