The province announced 12 new cases of COVID-19 Friday.
Seven of the cases are in the Saint John region, three are in the Moncton zone, and two were in the Fredericton area. All three of those zones remain in the orange phase of pandemic recovery.
There are now 114 active cases in the province, the highest daily active caseload since the pandemic began.
In Saint John, three of the new cases were discovered in individuals in their 20s, and four people in their 30s.
Two cases in Moncton were discovered in individuals in their 50s, and the other case was a patient in their 60s.
These two cases are all under investigation.
Both Fredericton cases were discovered in people in their 60s, and they are both travel-related.
Public Health says all 12 of the newly-positive patients are self-isolating.
In a release issued Friday afternoon Dr. Jennifer Russell said there should be no non-essential travel in or out of orange-phase health zones.
She also encouraged anyone experiencing even mild symptoms to get tested.
There is just one case in New Brunswick hospitals.
The provincial release also details mask requirements at provincial child care facilities.
Children under the age of five do not need masks within their group, but any child over the age of two is required to wear one in common areas.
Parents are asked to send at least two clean face masks with their children.
