With the Christmas shopping season underway, more of us are shopping and often leaving bags and parcels in our vehicles.
Mounties are reminding everyone to lock your car doors and leave any valuables out of sight.
Codiac RCMP Superintendent Tom Critchlow also urges drivers to not leave their vehicles running when they go into a business.
“We’ve had several vehicles that were left running recently… someone will come out of a store and it’s (their car) gone.”
Critchlow says RCMP will be conducting an awareness campaign and handing out flyers in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
