Of course there is no real magic but they are kind of magical in the many uses they have. Just recently it was Mason Jar Day and i found out through a posting on face book and our talk and text line(657-9494) that these jars are used for much more than jams , pickles and other preserves.
Mason Jars come in many different sizes and can be used for more than putting up your favourite preserves. How about a drinking glass or for mixing up your favourite cocktail like a Caesar Or maybe a White Russian or the Redneck Wine Glass. Some people use them to store dry goods such as yeast or corn starch, beans and barley. The great thing about using mason jars for storing dry goods is that it keeps the item fresh and you can see right away if you’re running low on something. Creative people can even put together a nice center piece using the humble mason jar. Even if you don’t do any canning or have them for drinking glasses there is a good chance you received one or two as a gift filled with homemade jam or relish.
They are durable , reusable and handy for so many things: so long live the Mason Jar and those who embrace them
