Some Saint John drivers have less Christmas cash after ignoring the rules on flooded streets.
Officers conducted compliance checks on Wednesday ticketed 16 drivers for ignoring or moving barricades on flooded streets.
The police point out the barricades are intended to protect everyone and to limit damage to homes and businesses.
Barricades in flooded areas of the city are in place for your safety and to limit damage to homes and businesses. Please do not move them or drive around them. Officers are patrolling the areas and 16 tickets have been issued for non-compliance.
