Heavy rainfall over a two day period has left some residents in Sussex cleaning up a mess.
MLA for Sussex-Fundy-St. Martins Tammy Scott-Wallace was one of many affected by rising waters.
In a social media post, Scott-Wallace says she met with MP Rob Moore yesterday to begin discussions about disaster relief funding potential for those affected.
They expect to know more once the provincial inspectors move into the region to assess the damage.
Her suggestion is to call your insurance provider first and then register provincially.
The highest amount of rain to fall in the province was in Mechanic Settlement, about 20 kilometres from Sussex, which saw 191 millimetres.
Sussex received just over 70 millimetres of rain.
