Southern New Brunswick could be in for more heavy rain this weekend as another storm pushes into the province.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for southern regions early Friday morning.
The national weather agency said 40 to 60 millimetres of rain is possible between Saturday evening and Monday morning.
Forecasters said the storm is also expected to bring strong northeasterly winds.
The storm comes just days after an intense system brought upwards of 100 millimetres of rain to parts of southern New Brunswick and led to significant flooding in the Sussex area.
The same system is expected to dump between 20 and 30 centimetres of snow across central and northern New Brunswick, which is also under a special weather statement.
Environment Canada said rainfall and snowfall warnings may be issued as the system draws nearer.
