Inspection teams from the province are in the Sussex region assessing the damage to homes and businesses after heavy rain led to major flooding this week.
During Thursday’s COVID-19 briefing, Premier Blaine Higgs said the provincial emergency measures organization is working closely with their municipal counterparts to coordinate the response.
He urged New Brunswickers to report damage through the toll-free number or the government’s website.
At least 30 famillies in Sussex Corner and Sussex are getting help from the Red Cross with somewhere to stay and other needs.
