Public Health reported two new cases of COVID-19 Saturday.
One of the new cases is an individual in their 50s in Zone 2, the Saint John region, and the other is someone in their 40s in the Zone 4 Edmundston area.
In a release, Public Health said each of the new cases is under investigation and self-isolating.
The number of active cases tumbled to 98 today, down from 111 on Friday, indicating 13 cases have newly recovered.
There is now one person in hospital with the virus, and they are currently in the ICU.
Zone 2 has the most active cases in New Brunswick by a significant margin with 57, Zone 3 Fredericton has 16, and there are 15 cases in the Zone 2 Moncton region.
All three of those zones remain in the orange phase, but Public Health previously indicated they would reevaluate the Moncton and Fredericton regions’ status on Sunday.
There are now six cases in the Edmundston region, five of which were reported over the last two days.
