Public Health announced five new cases of COVID-19 were discovered in New Brunswick Tuesday.
Four of the cases were discovered in the Fredericton region, and the other was discovered in the Saint John health zone.
Three individuals are in New Brunswick hospitals with the virus, and all three are in the ICU.
One of the cases, an individual in their 70s in Fredericton, is related to international travel.
The other four cases are close contacts of previous cases. They include someone in their 30s in the Saint John region, two people under 19 in the Fredericton zone, and an individual in their 40s in Fredericton.
Public Health says all five of the new confirmed cases are self-isolating.
The province also confirmed one of the new cases was confirmed at Fredericton High School.
Families were notified, and students learned from home on Tuesday.
A release issued by Public Health said no student-to-student transmission has been confirmed.
As with previous cases in schools, parents and students are asked not to contact Public Health, and instead wait to be notified by contact tracers if they need to self-isolate or be tested for the virus.
No word today on whether the Saint John health zone would move from the orange phase of COVID-19 recovery.
