A 32-year-old Riverview man has now been charged with the sexual assault of a minor in addition to 30 other child pornography-related charges.
Shawn Curtis Nickerson had previously been a volunteer basketball coach with the Anglophone East School District.
The latest charge was laid Tuesday in Moncton Provincial Court and stems from a complaint RCMP received in late October involving incidents alleged to have occurred between December 2018 and June 2019.
A court-imposed publication ban has been issued on any information that could potentially identify the alleged victim.
Nickerson is being held in custody and is scheduled to return to court on January 26, 2021.
