The City of Saint John issuing a boil water order for nearly 300 residents in the Rockwood Park area.
It impacts several streets including Anglin Drive, Burpee Avenue, Hawthorne Avenue, Mount Pleasant Avenue, Sandy Point Road and Thornbrough Street.
An infrastructure malfunction caused the water to not properly refill into the Rockwood Park water reservoir.
As a result, the Department of Health told Saint John Water to impose a boil water order.
The water should not be consumed without boiling it first.
It should come to a rolling boil for at least one minute and cooled before using.
Bottled water can be used for drinking, brushing teeth, making ice, juice, coffee or tea.
