Premiers from across the country are meeting today with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for their annual First Ministers meeting.
During a COVID19 update this week, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs Dominic Leblanc was asked whether the request for more long term federal health care funding would be talked about.
Leblanc said they will be discussing healthcare and the pandemic will also be a big focus.
They’ll be discussing the importance of how the vaccine will be distributed and also also how we can continue to work together to fight COVID-19.
The Premiers have asked for $28 billion additional in federal health transfers.
