New Brunswick prosecutors have received the final report from the Quebec police watchdog (Bureau des enquetes independantes) into the death of Rodney Levi.
The 48-year-old man from Metepenagiag First Nation was shot and killed by an RCMP officer near Miramichi on June 12, 2020.
Public Prosecutions Services says it will thoroughly review the findings to determine the next steps.
The process is expected to take several weeks.
In the meantime, prosecutors will not be commenting on the findings of the report.
