Fire crews in Saint Andrews managed to pull a family’s dog out a mini-home fire Monday night.
Saint Andrews Fire responded to a call on Route 127 in Bayside around 9 p.m.
Crews arrived just as the occupants returned from an outing, at which point firefighters pulled the pup from the building and turned it over to the family.
Several rooms were damaged in the blaze, and the family has found temporary lodging while the mini-home is repaired.
Fire Chief Kevin Theriault says the source of the fire is still under investigation.
Crews from Oak Bay and St. George also responded to the call.
