The calendar page is flipped and it’s a brand new year
Things don’t seemed to have changed and there are still to many tears
Politicians feel entitled and vacation down south
It’s hard to believe anything that comes out of their mouth
To flatten the curve most of us do what we can
Stay six feet apart wear a mask and wash our hands
But at the end of the tunnel there is some light
The vaccine is here to help us win the fight
In time this nightmare will end
And then we’ll all get together to kiss this virus goodbye and finally be able to be with all our family and friends
