A pre-budget consultation document has been created which gives context on the current challenges facing the province.
It also lists questions related to the government’s top six priorities, which include dependable public health care and world-class education.
Finance Minister Ernie Steeves said the pandemic has been a challenge for everyone and has made them look at doing things differently.
“Our 2021-22 budget will reflect the time we live in,” Steeves said in a news release. “The decisions we make as a government and as a province must take into consideration the impact of the pandemic, the need to support an economic recovery and fiscal responsibility.”
The deadline for feedback is Feb. 11. No word yet on when the 2021-22 budget will be released.
