RCMP are looking to speak with someone who may unknowingly have information about a missing Saint Andrews woman.
Wilhelmina (Wilma) Catherine Montgomery, 68, was last seen in the town around noon on Dec. 7. She was reported missing to police the next day.
Mounties scaled back their active search for Montgomery a week later and began treating it as a recovery effort as investigators believe she likely went into the water.
But police think someone driving in the community the day after Montgomery’s disappearance may have seen her.
Police said they have obtained video surveillance which shows a vehicle turning onto Water Street from King Street between 4 and 6 a.m. on Dec. 8.
“We would like to speak to anyone who was in that vehicle, or who may have been in the area at the time, as someone may unknowingly have information that could help us pinpoint the last possible whereabouts of Wilma Montgomery,” Sgt. Christopher Henderson said in a news release.
Henderson said there is no criminality suspected in her disappearance, adding they are simply looking for any information which might help them find her.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saint Andrews RCMP detachment at (506) 755-1130.
