It only took a few hours for the Biden-Harris Administration to be firing on all cylinders.
After taking the Oath of Office on Capitol Hill and visiting Arlington National Cemetery with three of his predecessors, President Joe Biden made his way to the White House where he wasted no time in signing over a dozen executive orders.
It’s not surprising that the first order dealt with the coronavirus pandemic and with the stroke of a pen, masks are now required on all federal property.
A good portion of the 17 orders reversed the work of now-former President Donald Trump, including lifting the travel ban on predominantly Muslim and African countries and halting all work on Trump’s border wall with Mexico.
Biden also changed course when it comes to the climate by bringing the United States back into the Paris Agreement and removing the presidential permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.
When it comes to relations with Canada, new White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki says the President’s first call with a foreign leader will be with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday.
Psaki also told reporters that the White House plans on holding daily briefings from Monday to Friday which is something that has not happened for quite some time.
