The New Brunswick Liberal Association elected a new executive for its party over the weekend.
Over 1,000 members attended the virtual meeting held on Saturday.
Interim leader Roger Melanson says, “The Liberal party will succeed again, I truly believe we are going to accomplish great societal public policies when we all pull together.”
Brian Murphy was named to the role of president.
The lawyer and former MP and former mayor of Moncton says unity will play a big role for the Liberal party.
Speaking confidently, he says the association will begin working right away to rebuild the party, “We need unity, we need policies. We don’t need to win, we are going to win the next election.”
Former MP Alaina Lockhart was elected vice-president provincial for the association.
“I believe we are in a starting line of what I would define as a new beginning. I have hope. I know it is going to be a lot of hard work, but it is going to be very exciting to rebuild and rejuvenate our party,” Melanson says.
We are excited to announce the newly elected Executive of the New Brunswick Liberal Party! Congratulations to all those…
