For the first time since early January, New Brunswick has recorded daily cases which are not in the double digits with eight new cases of COVID-19 today (February 1).
Public Health says there are three cases in Zone 1 (Moncton region) as follows:
- three people 30-39.
Five cases are in Zone 4 (Edmundston region) as follows:
- an individual 50-59;
- three people 60-69;
- an individual 70-79.
All cases are said to be self-isolating and under investigation.
Since Sunday, 18 individuals have recovered from the virus.
There have been 18 deaths and the number of active cases is 273 with three patients in hospital and two in intensive care.
On Sunday, 1,215 tests were conducted for a total of 201,167.
Zone 1 (Moncton region) is at the Red level and Zone 4 (Edmundston region) remains in lockdown.
All other zones remain in the Orange level under the province’s mandatory order.
