One person has been taken to the hospital after a workplace incident at a west Saint John business.
The Saint John Fire Department says first responders were called to AIM Recycling around 8:45 a.m. Friday.
Platoon Chief Brian Wilson said a worker at the site had fallen from a tractor-trailer in the yard.
Wilson said the worker was taken to the hospital by Ambulance New Brunswick to be checked out.
There is no word on the extent of the person’s injuries.
Police confirmed that WorkSafeNB has been notified about the incident.
Florence Flower, acting executive director of corporate communications for WorkSafeNB, said confirmed there was an incident at AIM Recycling.
“As it is an active investigation, we cannot comment any further,” Flower wrote in an email.
