The United States Senate will proceed with the impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.
The four hour session Tuesday featured both Republican and Democratic officials weighing whether the trail would be constitutional.
The 45th President was impeached on a charge of incitement of insurrection following the events of January 6th.
The senate vote finished 56-44 in favour of proceeding with the trial with six Republican senators breaking party rank.
