Saint John council has passed a bylaw that would extend the lifespan of taxi cabs in the city.
Common Council has now given the go-ahead for taxi companies to use vehicles up to eight years old. The previous limit was seven years.
This change brings the city in line with Moncton’s current bylaw, while Fredericton only allows cab companies to use vehicles six years old or newer.
