A former Riverview volunteer basketball coach has pleaded guilty to more than 30 charges related to child pornography and sexually touching a minor.
Shawn Nickerson, 32, appeared in Moncton court on Thursday, to enter his plea on the following charges:
- making child pornography (25 counts)
- possession of child pornography (three counts)
- making available child pornography (two counts)
- accessing child pornography
- sexual interference
RCMP have identified at least 20 victims stemming from incidents between June 2016 and October 2020 while Nickerson was coaching in the province.
Nickerson has been in custody since he was arrested last October.
He is scheduled to return to court for sentencing on April 9.
