Family Plus/Life Solutions is bringing in a new chief executive officer.
Sharon Amirault will be taking over the role beginning on March 1.
“I am honoured to be given this opportunity to lead and expand upon the excellent work being done by the staff and members of the Board of Family Plus,” said Amirault.
“The rich history and excellent reputation of this nearly 100-year-old organization provide a great foundation to build upon.”
According to a release from Family Plus/Life Solutions, the search for a new CEO began several months ago with applicants from across Canada.
Amirault is taking over from Heather Maughan, who began as CEO in 1984.
Alyson Townsend, chair of the board, says Amirault will be bringing over 25 years of executive experience in the not-for-profit sector.
“We are thoroughly impressed by her experience and education, but it’s Sharon’s enthusiastic community approach and can-do attitude that helped her rise to the top in this search,” said Townsend.
Family Plus/Life Solutions is a private not-for-profit organization in Saint John which offers professional counselling service.
