Expect another messy morning commute Tuesday thanks to an overnight blast of snow throughout southern New Brunswick.
All schools in the Anglophone South School District are open as normal but buses are running on a two-hour delay.
The Francophone South School District has closed nearly all of its schools, including those in Saint John and Quispamsis.
Saint John Transit buses are operating but there may be delays or detours due to road conditions.
Greater Saint John saw around 15 centimetres of snow, while some reports out of Fredericton show close to 20 centimetres.
The temperature hovered around the freezing mark throughout the night, which means this snow is wet and heavy and will be more difficult to move.
Route 1 is bare with slushy patches for the most part, according to New Brunswick 511, though you will find some snow-packed sections between Saint John and Norton. Route 7 is snow-covered from Saint John to Fredericton.
Meanwhile, more than 30 NB Power customers are without electricity in Grand Bay-Westfield as of 8:50 a.m. Tuesday. The utility’s website said power should be restored by 9:30 a.m.
