A storm that quickly rolled through the region earlier today brought a considerable amount of snow to parts of southern New Brunswick.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Jill Maepea says an overnight storm brought 11 centimetres to the Greater Moncton Romeo Leblanc International Airport, and 15 centimetres for the Saint John airport.
Some areas were hit a bit harder than expected, after the storm shifted further north.
Maepea says the Fredericton and Miramichi regions received around 21 centimetres of snow.
Schools in Anglophone East, Francophone South schools in Moncton, Dieppe, Shédiac, Bouctouche, Miramichi, Rogersville, Saint-Louis de Kent, Richibucto, Saint John and Quispamsis, and Anglophone North schools in Rexton and Miramichi were closed today due to the weather.
