Dozens of Saint John residents woke up to find a ticket on their vehicle Wednesday morning.
The city said 163 tickets were issued as part of Tuesday night’s parking ban in the north, east and west areas of the city.
Spokesperson Lisa Caissie said 24 vehicles were also towed for impeding snow clearing operations.
Caissie reminded motorists that it is their responsibility to stay informed and move their vehicles off the street when parking bans are called.
The city said parking bans are required so crews can work as efficiently and safely as possible to clear streets and push snow back to the curb after a storm.
A parking ban has been issued for Wednesday night in the South/Central Peninsula.
