The province reported one additional case of COVID-19 Thursday.
The case was discovered in an individual in their 30s in the Edmundston health zone.
16 additional cases have recovered, bringing the active case number down to 49. That’s the first time the active caseload has dropped below 50 cases since January 3.
There are currently two patients battling COVID-19 in New Brunswick hospitals, one of whom is in the intensive care unit.
Of the remaining 49 cases, 43 are in the Edmundston health zone, four are in the Moncton region, and there is just one active case in each of the Saint John and Bathurst areas.
All seven of the province’s health zones are still in the orange level of pandemic recovery.
