More than 2000 New Brunswickers find themselves without power this morning.
It includes over 100 NB Power customers in Charlotte county impacting communities like Bocabec, Bayside and Chamcook.
Over 1000 homes and businesses are impacted in the Moncton area.
Meanwhile, Saint John Energy asked its customers to limit their use of major appliances starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning for a couple of hours.
The request is so the utility can keep fossil-burning peakers turned off which according to Saint John Energy reduces costs and helps the environment.
#PeakAlert We are hitting our peak earlier than expected! Now is the time to reduce your electricity usage, if you are able to, to help shave off the peak! pic.twitter.com/15WUgje2GH
