The Prime Minister is hailing the approval of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine as “very good news.”
Justin Trudeau says the company is still finalizing the delivery schedule for its Janssen vaccine but we can expect ten-million doses by September.
“This morning, I spoke with Jorge Bartolome, the president of Janssen Canada,” Trudeau says. “He told me that they are committed to getting the full order of doses to Canada, and they’re working on setting up global supply chains as quickly as possible.”
Trudeau says Pfizer also announced it will be delivering 3.5-million doses ahead of schedule.
By the end of the month, Pfizer will provide an additional 1.5-million shots, then we will receive 1-million in April and the same number in May.
