A new poll has found a PC government in New Brunswick is still favoured.
In the Narrative Research poll conducted last month, Moncton residents expressed a higher level of satisfaction for a provincial government led by Premier Higgs at 76 per cent.
Southern New Brunswick was slightly lower at 68 per cent.
Further, satisfaction levels are lowest among the younger population aged 18 to 34 years, at 61 per cent.
The poll also found if an election were held today, New Brunswickers would favour the Progressive Conservatives, followed by the Liberals. The Green Party was next, followed by the New Democrats and then Peoples Alliance.
Overall satisfaction for a provincial government led by premier Blaine Higgs was generally consistent with the last quarter at 69 per cent. It was at 72 per cent in November.
Higgs is once again the most preferred, for Premier, but results are down from three months ago. 30 per cent voiced their preference for Higgs as premier, down from 39 per cent.
Melanson, who stepped in as interim Liberal leader after the election last year, is preferred for premier by 19 per cent, while David Coon holds steady at 17 per cent of voter preference.
Kris Austin is preferred by six per cent.
