A member of the Anglophone South District Education Council is looking to get involved in municipal politics.
Justin Tinker has put his name forward to run for one of two council seats in Saint John’s Ward 2.
Tinker said he wants to bring “engaged leadership and representation” to the ward.
He said some of his priorities will be municipal property tax reform, poverty reduction and city services, among other things.
Tinker currently represents sub-district 12 on the District Education Council, which includes Grand Manan, White Head Island, Campobello Island and Deer Island.
Voters will head to the polls on May 10.
