Another major infrastructure announcement is expected in Saint John on Wednesday morning.
Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long, Saint John Harbour MLA Arlene Dunn and Mayor Don Darling are taking part.
Long teased the announcement in a short video posted to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.
“We’re going to do a significant announcement for the uptown peninsula on water and sewer underground with all three levels of government sharing in this amazing, amazing announcement,” said Long.
Standing in front of a new building under construction uptown, Long said projects like that do not happen above ground without major work happening underground.
The announcement comes less than three weeks after the federal and provincial governments announced a combined $15 million in support to help redevelop Fundy Quay along the waterfront.
Wednesday’s virtual announcement is expected to take place at 10 a.m.
