John MacKenzie wants to keep his Ward 2 seat with Common Council in Saint John.
Incumbent Ward 2 councillor John MacKenzie wants to hang onto his Saint John council seat.
MacKenzie announced he’s re-offering in the spring election this May.
He thinks in order for the city to keep growing, a focus must be placed on increasing the tax base, the population and adding more jobs.
MacKenzie said that focus should not come at the expense of residents, noting the pandemic has increased the vulnerability for many Saint Johners.
Voting day for the municipal election is May 10th.
