Twenty-year-old Tyler Gamblin will be sentenced for manslaughter next month.
The Saint John man pled guilty in the July 2020 death of 29-year-old Nathan Gallant.
Gallant was found with stab wounds along Route 825 in Fairfield and later died from his injuries in the hospital.
Gamblin’s lawyer, Wes McIntosh, raised concerns last week about “deficiencies” in the pre-sentence report.
In court on Thursday, he said it’s now “95 per cent complete” and he expects to get the remaining information any day now.
Gamblin is scheduled to be sentenced on April 9th at 1:30 p.m.
He took part in Thursday’s hearing over the phone from the county jail.
