Gas prices have passed the $1.30 mark for the first time in nearly two years.
The new maximum price for regular self-serve is $1.33 per litre as of Thursday morning.
That is an increase of 4.8 cents after the weekly setting by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.
The last time gas prices were this high was back in May of 2019.
Diesel prices are up by eight-tenths of a cent to a new maximum of $1.293 per litre.
Most stations in the region are selling gas and diesel for a few cents less.
The new maximum price for furnace oil is $1.125 per litre, an increase of seven-tenths of a cent.
Propane prices have fallen by three-tenths of a cent to a new maximum of $1.12 per litre.
