As of March 26th at 11:59 p.m., rotational workers and their families no longer need to self-isolate if they have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 14 days have passed.
Health Minister Dorothy Shephard said people over the age of 80 and those with complex medical conditions like certain cancers can book appointments for a vaccine.
Complex medical conditions include certain cancers, those on dialysis and severe kidney disease.
Shephard said they will have information soon on when rotational workers, truck drivers and cross-border commuters can be vaccinated.
“Regional health authority clinics are also beginning to vaccinate regulated allied health professionals, such as dentists, physiotherapists and optometrists and others,” Shephard said.
These are health care professionals who have close contact with patients,”
Shephard said more than 11,600 long-term care residents have received a COVID-19 vaccine.
