Police say they arrested a 24-year-old man after an early morning chase ended with the driver ramming a police cruiser.
According to a press release, officers tried pulling a vehicle over on the city’s east side around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, when it sped away.
After officers caught up to the vehicle, the driver rammed the police cruiser which police say caused severe damage to the vehicles.
The driver was taken to the Saint John Regional Hospital, but police say there were no major injuries from the collision.
The release states that the 24-year-old faces multiple charges including weapon and driving offences, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
